The Rangers Captains Clinic was a big hit Monday morning in New Hamburg. Students at Holy Family Catholic School experienced some of the rigors and fun of hockey by participating in the community-involvement program offered by the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club. Cody Sol and Julian Melchiori, defensemen for the Rangers, put sixth-grade students through the various paces of dry land training hockey drills. The students practiced wrist shots, slap shots, and passing. They also played a game of floor hockey. Much to the delight of the students, Sol and Melchiori tended the nets for their two teams. The students thoroughly enjoyed the players’ visit, and they thank Sol and Melchiori and the Rangers organization for visiting Holy Family and leading them through hands-on learning activities.
