Grain-loaded trailer overturns on Wilmot farm property

Police attribute speed and driver inexperience to an accident yesterday involving a tractor trailer full of grain on a Wilmot farm property.
At approximately 2:30 pm a tractor trailer operated by a 48-year-old Kitchener man rolled over on a farm laneway at 1193 Witmer Road. As the truck descended a small grade on the laneway, the driver failed to negotiate a turn at the base of the grade causing the unit to roll on its side and lose its load.
Waterloo Regional Police, EMS and Wilmot Fire Department responded to the farm. The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to hospital for treatment of injuries. Alcohol was not a factor in this collision.
The Ministry of Labour also attended the scene to investigate.
