Scary Stuff: Hallowe’en Tricks and Treats in Wilmot

Many Waterloo-Oxford students dressed up on Oct. 31.

Young superheroes, princesses, and monsters took to the streets last night to ring doorbells and fill their candy bags. Local students also started celebrating Hallowe’en early by wearing their costumes to school.

Meanwhile, the Schweitzer house on Victoria Street again went all-out to mark this scary day. The New Hamburg home’s front lawn was filled with tombstones, a skeleton, pumpkins, and a terrifying scarecrow.

Over at Wilmot Centre Missionary Church, many families attended the annual Banana-Rama, and alternative Oct. 31 celebration that features games and ice cream for kids.

This home on Victoria Street might win the award for best New Hamburg Hallowe'en display.
